Light Painting of a tree
Light painting of a moss covered rock in the forest. I've processed this about 6 different way but I keep coming back to the Chiaroscuro effect. Hope you like it.
A lane into a farmers field. Shot early one morning, mist coming off the field and the sky aglow.
This is one of my all time favourite shoots. It took forever because I had to light each pumplin individually, btu the end result was worth it.

Snow covered fire logs in a field
Snow covered fire logs. This is a multi exposure light painting of some snow covered logs. Light painting is done using a flashlight to light certain parts of the subject for each exposure. When done, depending on the size of the subject I can have anywhere from a dozen to a couple of dozen shots to use in the final image. With this one, in addition to the light painting I've also added some PS filter effects to lend it a painterly/abstract feel. While not technically a photography, I am not technically a photographer:)

I wanted to shoot this one really rainy day, well Saturday turned out to be the perfect day! I wanted the muted colours of October and the sheen of the wet boardwalk.

New Years Eve at Mer Bleue with a full moon lighting up the snow covered marsh. Very cold and crisp.Stayed out for about 30 minutes - long enough for my key fob battery to go into hibernation.
Walking along a trail in the bush I saw this old, moss covered stump illuminated by the early morning sunlight.
Rock formation on the trek through the bush to Fiddler Lake in Mille-Isles QC.
Trekking through the bush at Mille-Isles I came across this awesome inclined path covered with exposed roots.
Another frame from my Fiddler Lake dawn session.Trying to work on my lighting skill in PS - using it to draw attention, add highlight and emphasize colour. At the same time working on my tendency to overdo things, I guess that's what happens over time - trying to be more refined and subtle.Anyway - enjoy!
My son and I went for a walk early one morning on Thanksgiving weekend, the trees were shrouded in fog and the sun was trying hard to burn it away. I’ve been very busy getting my fine art portraiture business up and off the ground but felt compelled to get outside and shoot the mood of this beautiful morning.

I remember this rock from my childhood. It's in the Maitland river near Goderich in the small hamlet of Benmiller. As kids we would love going down to the river and having fun. A few years ago my wife, Diane and I went back there and I went down to photograph it one evening.
